Main Dishes / Re: KFC Coating ...... revisited
« on: September 15, 2010, 05:38:35 pm »
I like the idea of shallow frying.  Would you believe I am scared of deep frying?
Long ago I had an oil pan fire, very very scary.Thank goodness my DH was there, as I froze on the spot.He smothered the flames with a wet towel, I was left with a very messy kitchen to clean and ceiling to paint.

Debbiebillq the Everyday Cooking Book is what you all call the EDC, that comes with your TM in Oz.Most books that U.K. Thermomix sell originate from Oz, with the exception of Fast and Easy Cooking, Fast and Easy Indian Cooking and Demonstrator Delights.I recently posted a Fruit Cake Recipe developed by Janie Turner( director U.K. Thermomix)that might come close to what you are looking for.

CC have just a couple of queries notes. I'm supposing the pumpkin should be cooked, and then pureed? (which I will do now as I prob won't hear from you for a few hours) and also in Step 3...Bacardi  ??? no wonder your DH has one of these for brekky  ;D (so I am assuming you meant bicarb)

PS. Now that they are out of the oven... :P so soft and delicious! Thanks CC for a lovely recipe  ;D
So glad you liked them Cream Puff. You are right the pumpkin is cooked then pureed, oops!! I did mean bicarb,  ;D ;D Thanks I will amend the recipe.
CC,  these look great.  I have a question also.   How do you manage to be so clean and neat when filling the cases????????
I just use a spoon Chookie but if you look closely enough you will see the odd spillage :D :D :D
