Yes Judy, great soup weather. Big batch of pea and ham nearly gone. Cauli soup today for DD.
Made Hot XBuns , trial run . Gave most away. Made one lot with just spice, no fruit.

With so many to make, we are going to weigh all the ingredients the day before so we will just have to just mix and bake.
Today I will be clearing all bench space.

Lots of lovely cooking happening here lately.  Not much going on here.  I have been feeling quite unwell with the flu so have not done very much.

Get well soon Margaret, there’s a bit around in my family too at the moment so no visiting going on for me.

Flu is the pits, especially when the weather is warmer.  It doesn’t seem yo go together at all.

I made a Chocolate Crackle Slice. DD and DH  said it’s very nice. I put the sultanas into it https://www.theannoyedthyroid.com/2012/01/15/chocolate-crackle-slice/.

I had my day all planned out then the power kept coming and going, so I had to improvise ... in the end I managed to make tomato, fennel and lentil soup; potato tomato and sausage traybake and macroni and cheese.

Mab, hope you are feeling better.  Try and take it easy.
I’m over cooking for a while. 10 dozen Hot X Buns baked yesterday. Worked from 8 to 5.  Yeast was not fully active.  Was 1/2 way through before I realised they were taking too long to rise. Just had to give them twice as long to rise. The use by date still had 7 months to run. Used fresh container for remaining buns. All ok in the end.  We had weighed all ingredients up the night before. ( except the yeast and milk).

That would have been a hard day's work, Chookie.  Glad it turned out in the end.
