Nothing today. We need bread so that will be for tomorrow. I will feed the starter tonight. I bought some SD bread at Bindoon yesterday. The girls there are wonderful and have all sorts of things. DH tried it and commented that mine was much better. I have to agree I do prefer mine. Theirs is lovely but we seem to have developed our own SD to suit us perfectly.

I made lots of Sausage Rolls for GS in the electric machine. Made a very nice 1/2 recipe of Spicy Pumpkin soup. Bit of a long process but well worth the effort. With 1/2 recipes I have to be careful when adding spices.

It looks lovely and warming.
I’ve made a Classic loaf today. I fed the starter last night so it would be lovely and bubbly this morning. I only need to do that in the cooler months.

DD decided that the brickies on her house would work well with bribery as they are from Geraldton so I made them some choc chip cookies using caramilk choc chips. She will take them up when she gets home from work.

They’ll love it cookie, it might be the first of many deliveries she’ll make during the building process.

I think she has learned from Chookie's generosity as I always tell her about Chookie feeding the workers.

Cookie,  good message to pass on.  It creates such good will between giver and receiver.
We have a new gardener and he brings excess products from other gardens and I turn them into jam, jellies, chutney cakes etc.  And pass them on, and of course some to our gardener.
Today I have just made a beautiful jelly.  Quinces ( from gardener), Raspberries ( from friend) and Medlars from our garden.
Also made SD Wholemeal crumpets. They walked out the door.  I can’t eat any but quite happy to pass on.

Yesterday I made an interesting loaf of Wholemeal bread. It had a mix of seeds. I ground them in the TMX before adding to the flour.
I also cooked Adam Liaw’s recipe for Lamb shoulder baked in North African spices. All slow baked in cast iron pot. I popped it in the BBQ on the lowest setting. Easy and delicious. Marina, you could probably do same with whole root veggies.

Cookie, I found the food bribe worked really well with our builders during our renovation!  Apparently we were the most popular site the company had and the carpenters, etc. were all lobbying to be put onto our job!

I'll have a look at that lamb shoulder recipe, Chookie and see what I can do with it.

Invented a pasta and tomato dish for dinner last night ... one of my usual inventions, just put everything into the pot and keep my fingers crossed.  It seemed to work quite well.

DH loved RTE's leek and potato soup I made earlier in the week - I didn't whizz it in the TMX too much as he likes a bit of 'texture' in his soup, so there were loads of little lumps of potatoes all through it.

I am really in the mood to bake, but I have to behave, I am putting on too much weight.
