Thanks Judy for pointing Marina to the comments for the Quince jelly.
Using the TMX is convenient but doesn’t make much. Could mince a couple of lots in the TMX. and tip into large pot, cook, strain and use 3/4 sugar to liquid.
I love quince jelly but give most away.

Some housework, washing etc. I’m making a SD fruit loaf so I will see how that goes.

I ended up making quince and coriander jelly.  I think I over cooked it slightly as it is very thick, but very nice nonetheless.

Marina, that sounds very nice.
We are picking the Crab Apples and Medlars today. I’m still waiting for the Quinces to ripen. They were picked green.
Yesterday I cleaned up the raised beds in the veggie garden. Bought some covers from Bunnings to stop the Black Birds digging up the seedlings.  I have planted out all the lettuce seedlings.
Time to start more seedlings.

You've got beautiful crab apples, Chookie, ours are much smaller than yours and the bulk of them only semi ripe.  We took kilos and kilos off the tree we pruned back last weekend and are giving an 8 litre bin to a customer for her friend and we filled up our rubbish bin with all the rest.  I simply didn't have time to do anything with them.  There are still masses left on the tree so I may make some crab apple and raspberry jelly in a week or two.

We had a coffee run this morning. It’s always lovely. Everyone else had left but DH was still chatting. You can see our old Ute with the sparkly restored cars.

Cookie, looks like your old Ute is being looked after by it’s big brothers. Lovely photo.
Out most of today. Flu injections, shopping.
I was given an Etsy voucher and decided to buy some jam labels to print myself.  Got into a fine pickle. Did it in the end.

Yesterday was spent at hospital Emergency for DD , long story short she has  severe Tonsillitis and Glandular fever ! Oh boy hardly ate for days and then could not swallow water . She became dehydrated and so so unwell . This list of symptoms were half a page it felt like , even on presenting at Emergency a rash on her palms that’s just looks odd ( possibly because of the antibiotics and GF ) . Wow a drip to rehydrate and steroids , nurophen , endone , it was like incredible to her her talk again after three days of texting. She managed to eat a sandwich and drank water , so we could go home !! But then decided to admit her , no beds available and we would have had to move hospitals, I took her home . It was like she was a new person . I wish it was going to be easy from now on but there’s a long road ahead . She ate so much tonight which is good . Rest rest . The hard part is I know that I have sore throat and boy what am I going to do ! Face that one tomorrow. It’s been a tough week . We will just have to be in Melbourne for a little while to be near hospital.

Katie that sounds awful. Hope DD recovers, but it will take time.  Look after yourself.

Ditto. Hang in there.
Yesterday we went out for afternoon tea.  Haven’t done this for so long that I had forgotten just how nice it was.
Had flu injections.  Have to wait 3 weeks for vaccinations.
Family for Dinner, what a mess I made cooking. RAL and DD cleaned it up.  :)

Making a mess cooking doesn't sound like you Chookie.  Hope it wasn't too bad.

Had an appointment for a facial yesterday ... what bliss to just lie back and relax.  Today I've got to get out to do a bit of shopping - I was meant to take the whole day off yesterday to to all these wee jobs but we were too busy so I am playing catch up today.

Sad news ... my favourite violin was sold yesterday  :'( now I will have to find another one!
