Today I've been traipsing around changing my surname to my husband's name.
It's living up to the pain I imagined it would be!

2 hour wait at the Motor Rego place to organise a new driver's licence  :-))
Not too bad at Medicare and a couple of other places were pretty easy and painfree.
Westpac though, geezz they like to make things difficult ???
Oh yes the joys.
The older you are the harder it is. I was in no mans land too for about half a day. Didn't 100 points of ID in either name.

mmmm I remember that day too...I had stuff about changing countries to do too.  Worth it all once it is done tho, and you have your new identity!  ;)

Oh that doesn't sound too good McMich  :-))

It did seem strange handing over my drivers and licence and medicare card (and getting a slip of temporary paper in return).
Maybe I'll wait until my new drivers licence arrives before I change my name anywhere else just in case  :)

Today I have walked over 13 km, over 18000 steps, climbed 6 flights of stairs (actually hills) and burnt over 2500 calories. Pretty stoked with my effort today :)
Poor Achillies is not over happy though :(  the leg I had in plaster is coping well, but the other one not so well. I really really don't want plaster on again though. I'm hoping it will improve as I get fitter and loose some weight.

I don't want to either Amy, I'm a bit unsure if I'm doing it good or doing more harm? The doctor recommended weight loss as being very helpful to put less strain on the tendon. But to loss weight I need to exercise, and I find walking a good way of burning the calories. I certainly wouldn't do any running at all as thats what tore my tendons in the first place.

I've done very little today except a quick whip through for 1pm visitors - didn't wake until 9.10am. They were just leaving around 3.30 when another visitor turned up and he stayed until 6pm.  Not cooking tea at that time of night so spaghetti on toast for us.

Quite day around the house. Washed the car, patched a whole in the ceiling, tried to fix my patio heater and helped dw  re-install the server at her school.

How about swimming? That's non-weight bearing.

Me in a bathing suit :o. Now that would be funny. I don't like the water (only for showers) :D
The exercise bike is great for not putting strain on my tendon. CP just forced me (encouraged ) to do 20,000 steps. I'm stuffed now and heading to bed very shortly.

They get harder to buy for as they get older. Glad you found what you were after :)
