Basically sitting round. I keep feeling that we may be in for more lockdown and I will do things then. Silly me.

Yes that happened here earlier when there was going to be a 4 or 6 day lockdown cookie. We were all looking forward to the break to get jobs done around the house but it only lasted 3 days and a lot of people hadn’t even started their jobs. It can go either way really but one thing is for sure, you never know when it’s going to happen.

life is a challenge. DD is ok but had sinus and eye trouble so on Wednesday off to GP , more antibiotics and pain meds . She is very good bounces back but really we are doing nothing . DD just sits at the dinning table and works away on her design assessments . I have watched a lot of tv and cleaning out the pantry cupboard... who new you could have so many large jars ... op shop my benefit. Still in Melbourne and still cannot see DM , this is breaking my heart she is so tiered now it’s been hard to even talk on the phone for her . But we get a FaceTime in now and again . I have not been home for so long ! Now DH has a cold so that’s why we didn’t get to go home ! Missed seeing DS and doing a Birthday dinner and cake , he will be 16 next week , feel like he is the neglected child at the moment. But he will be will his mates at school and boarding house .

Kids are tougher than we think K Atie, they just get on with things and accept difficult situations whereas we worry about these things. It prepares them for adult life when not everything runs as smoothly as we would like. DM is in a different situation, at her age she needs family support and it is hard for us when we cannot give it.  Best of luck to you all, get well soon.

I feel for you KAtie. I haven't done a lot. I vacuumed and washed the floors this morning. We will need to wait until tomorrow to see if our lockdown is any longer. I found the long one last year easier, at least I knew where I stood. DD has holidays this week and we had planned lunch out and a couple of other things. If we are locked down at least she will get lots of rest. I don't know if the builders will still be able to work on her house. Although some work was done there yesterday.

Judy your words helped thank you , so right about the kids they are very adaptable. I’m trying to hang in there Chookie it’s hard . I think I’ll miss DD as she plans to go back to college tomorrow, it’s good but I am a little concerned . I have feed her up with so much green veg and meat that I’ll hoping it will benefit for a little while . Now I will have to keep the good food up to myself too. DS went to the anzac service with school and then made Anzac biscuits at the boarding house .

Bits and pieces that needed doing. It was 31/32 here today. Weird.

We are so lucky, our lockdown finishes tonight. I’m amazed that there hasn’t been more community transmission. Maybe a few more days will show some. Masks for now but at least it is cooler now.

I had a grocery delivery from Woolworths today.
We have a Very strange grocery store in Ballarat.  It is a big shed/shop with slabs of products. Mostly tins and packets.  Bit like Costco, you can buy in bulk or individual items. Everything is much cheaper than the Supermarket, about the same as Aldi but different stuff. No fresh or frozen.
We also have a very cheap fruit and veggie shop. Good also for bulk buying.

Cookie that’s a ridiculous temperature for this time of the year, lucky that the lockdown was a short one.
You certainly have everything you want in Ballarat Chookie, so many options.

Cookie I have to say my favourite place in Ballarat is Wilson’s fruit and veg . Quiet morning,  DD discovered the bus timetable had changed to get to uni from college , she made it by ten minutes. Spoke to DS for his 16th birthday before school , going out with a few mates for dinner and DH taking them .

DD and I went on a shopping binge. I bought a new dressing gown and a pair of shoes from Paul Carroll that I will wear around the house. I need something that is supportive and comfortable.

I had my hair cut yesterday.  Supermarket shopping today.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I’ve had a busy day, I washed then went to the nursery for 16 pansy plants, did some food shopping, cooked 2 dishes, planted out the pansies and repotted one of my indoor plants to make 2 plants then washed the car. That’s it for the day, kept myself very busy but my dear Mum was on my mind the whole time as today is the first anniversary of her death. A candle is burning and she is smiling down at me from the TV cabinet.
