Food Safe Packaging for Kid's Lunches

I would love to be cling wrap free....but it sure is a challenge!

Check out www.biome.com.au for eco friendly sandwich material wraps and stainless steel water bottles/containers. You can use waxed or baking paper, but none of it seems to keep the sandwiches firm enough for me (we pile them up with salad).
Brown paper bags are good but stuff goes soggy!
The main problem with plastic stuff is to never, ever heat things in plastic (and use paper towel in microwave instead of cling wrap). You also have to never let plastic drink bottles get hot in the sun (ie don't leave in the car)

  Hi I use Tupperware containers in the lunch boxes.


No cling wrap at all.

i use tupperware. in fact today i finally got around to engraving our name on every container we have (around 40 for the kids lol) so i don't have to label them all.

however, what i would love is recommendations of a thermal lunch BAG that will keep lunches cool. i'm tired of buying a new one every year and then having to chuck them as they barely last the year...

After previous creche experiences I label everything that goes in the kids pre-school bags. In fact their bags have come from an online service that does personalized bags/lunch boxes etc.  They are called identity direct. They also do stickers and labels. I think just about the only thing that doesn't have a sticker directly on  them are the kids themselves, except their clothes, of course. Has anyone else accumulated a mini mountain of lunchbox paraphernalia, food containers, drink bottles etc? I have one drawer alone which would be very handy for other things, were it not for all of the containers in there. No matter how often I seem to sort out lids and match stuff together, throwing out containers that seem to have lost their lids, they seem to multiply in the drawer. surely, they're not breeding in there?

Those EasyLunchBoxes look excellent. Wish they'd been around when my kids were at school.

I still have to pack lunch for my DH from Feb through to December every single day...  It's an effort to pack something appealing and nutritious all the time. He's pretty much fed up with sandwiches, so it's generally salads in summer and pizza, crumbed chicken, cold toasties, quiche in winter. He leaves sometimes before 5 am, so I have to make it the night before.

Any ideas gratefully appreciated!

My sister in-law found these wonderful "rubbish free" lunchboxes at our local supermarket for just $7.99 http://www.nudefoodmovers.com.au/catalogue.asp  (sorry, not sure how to make it into a link). The are made by Nude Food Movers and are designed so that the food needs no packaging. They make a few different types of containers but the lunchbox is just awesome. Have bought them for my boys!!!
