Isi, that makes me hungry.
JulieO I made this yesterday. The taste is really lovely and the pastry was easy to work even though it was very hot. (I just had to be quick) I did make one mistake though. I put all the fruit mix in, thinking 'oh, my tin is big enough'. Well it wasn't. I had to clean the oven, floor and everything else. I also found that mine seemed to have juice left after cooking. Possibly because I had put too much fruit in. Next time I make it I'll be a little more careful. Everyone loved it though.

Thank you both, something else to add to our Varoma repertoire. Another way to use up some of the excess Christmas ham.
Thermomixer, anything that has toast soldiers has to be good!

Sure would, with a very straight jacket on. What a pity DD has left Psych wards and moved to Oncolgy.

Brilliant Judy. Leftovers from leftovers. We usually end up making a big pot of pea and ham soup from our ham. That is DH's job.

Yesterday I made a raw rhubarb slice. I adapted the recipe from the CWA biscuits and slices book. I wonder if it is ok to post it if I acknowledge where it came from?

Our local grocer has mangoes a tray for $20. They are only the small ones, but a mango is a mango. Last year they were $12 a tray but he said they are a bit short this season. They freeze beautifully. In Kununurra they freeze them and you can get the most beautiful mango smoothies all year. Fresh mango blitzed with soft serve icecream and milk.

Gralke, lovely pie and photo. A photo always seems to make things more real. I must get my act into gear and put more photos, I'm still learning so it takes me a while. Practise will make perfect.

I have just spent some time looking for this, so I have copied it here to make it little easier to find.
LIMONCELLO SORBET 2 cups of Ice Cubes 1/2 cup of sugar zest of 1 lemon, 120mls frozen lemon juice 120mls Limoncello
Place sugar and zest in TM bowl for 10 seconds on speed 9 Add frozen lemon juice and half the ice cubes. Slowly turn speed dial to 10. Add remaining Ice cubes and Limoncello after 20 seconds and blitz for 1 min. Sorry didn't write down the weights (g) when converting recipe. Enjoy

Sandy, would it be easier to freeze the mango cheeks rather than bottling them? I wish I had lots of mangoes. I learned to love them when we lived in Broome and now have to pay horrid prices for them. I paid $5 for a R2E2 the other day, it was lovely.
