Mcmich - Harry hound looks an absolute charmer! We have the same problem with the blue tongues here and our two terriers. We try to provide good hiding places but sometimes the dogs are too fast or the lizard is too slow and trusting.  Doesn't happen very often but distressing when it does ....

Cockers spaniels (and other spaniel breeds) were breed to flush out and retrieve game ;)
Well that explains why he is often on the hunt. Makes it hard when you live in bushland. The possums scramble when they see Harry.
Maybe I need to lend Harry to you GF.  :)

(null)

This was the second baby tiger snake found in the pool at our Hillary's house in the last two weeks. Our son is living their with his family as they are renovating their home nearby.
We lived there for seven years and only ever had ducks in the pool no other wildlife.
Scary as they have 3 under 5's.

Possibly right Courton  :)
I hate the thought of it especially with the little ones playing outside in the backyard.
The house is in a built up area opposite the beach with a main road opposite parallel with the street the house is on and I have never had any thing other than ducks in the pool.
We only moved out 3 years ago and DS has been renovating for 31 but was told 6 months by his builder  :-))

Very scary Michele.
First time in our almost 32 years in Australia that we have had snakes in the backyard.
Have encountered them walking paths between the sand dunes on my daily walks in Hillary's and looking for my wayward balls when playing golf but never at home.

Maybe we should expect it more often with the urban jungle?

Hey guys, been away from the forum for a while... First of all, i want to wish all of you all the best for 2013. May it be a joyful, good, healthy, great cooking and amazing pet year! ..   I just added a puc of luka.. How he has grown!  He is 6 months nowand already full size....

The other pic is taken in our garden.. Today we put Zeno's ashes in his last resting place, together with the ashes of Russo, Hermes and Yango...  I hope it will take many many years before we have to open it again :)
