Hi All,
The demo was great!!! Berry sorbet, bread rolls (which I could eat because I'm gluten intolerant, but they smelt fantastic!!!), Hommos dip, coleslaw, Pumpkin and spinach risotto, (the smell of mushrooms make me want to puke, so my niece mad this one instead!!!) and lemon custard!!!! mmmmmmmmm! My niece got one of the guests to make the custard and he was absolutely thrilled. I asked my friend to come after I told her about it and said she should bring her DH because they were expensive. He was a bit apprehensive coming, but I made my DH stay and watch too, so he wasn't the only male. My friend has since told me I've created a monster because all he talks about is the TMX and figuring out their finances so they can buy one themselves!!! Hahahaha. My DH asked me why we need one when we have all those other "contraptions" already? I told him that we would only need the one "contraption" if we bought one and I could get rid of the others and have lots more room in the cupboards. So we are waiting for our tax cheque to come back to see how much more we need to put with it to be able to buy a TMX!!!! Having the DH's at the demo is the best idea!!!
Hey Karen, one other guest has a daughter in Canberra and she thought she might like a demo, so I told her that I chat with this great lady on this site who lives in Canberra who I'm sure would be happy to go and do a demo for her daughter!!! I'll let you know if she really wants it to happen!!!
I also have a few more friends that after hearing from my friend's DH asked if I was having another demo so they could come and see this "fantastic" machine in action!!! So now trying to plan for another demo!!! YUM get to eat that great food again!!! LOL!!!
Have a great day everyone!!! Wish my tax cheque would hurry up and get here!!!!! :D

Hi all,

I'm finally getting to have a demo. My neice joined as a demonstrator and she is coming by on Saturday to do a demo for me. YAY. I've seen a few things made in it before, just creamed rice and chocolate custard. But Saturday I get a full demo!!! Can't wait!!! I'm making hubby stay home and watch, and I've asked 2 friends and told them to bring their hubby's too!!! Will let you know how it all goes!!

have a great week all.

Thanks everyone.

I went to the gluten free expo in Sydney on Saturday and tried to get a better look at the TMX, but there were heaps of people there so when I got there they were only showing how to mix up some fruit like dates, apples, coconut and something else that you could have for brekkie. But my niece is at training today and tomorrow, so I'm getting her to come and do a demo for me and we'll see what happens from there. So I may be just a TMX user or maybe a demonstrator. I'll just wait and see!!! But definitely a user!!!

Thanks also for the ideas about keeping the tips and ideas!!!

Chit Chat / I'm Jealous!!!!

Hi,
Not sure where this is supposed to go, thought it was general conversation.

I'm so jealous of everyone talking about their thermomix's. I don't have one yet. I really want a demo so hubby can see it. I have only heard great things about them. My sister in Qld saw  a demo at her local health food shop and ordered one straight away. She loves it! I am off to the gluten free expo at Sydney Olympic Park today, the thermomix is being demonstrated there. So hopefully I'll get to see it working!!! So for the moment I'll just have to keep reading about everyone else's thermomix till I get one, then I can rave about them too!!!  So till then :'(

Introduce Yourself / Re: New here

Hi All,
Thanks so much for your help. brazen20au thanks for the offer. Can you let me know when you'll be in Sydney and do I need extra people for a demo other than myself? My Nephew's wife is also interested but she is away till Aug 20th. i live in Girraween, not too far I think from Campbelltown. Maybe if its a few weeks away I could see if a couple of friends want to see it too. Also has the price gone up recently? When my country friend bought hers it was $1898 or something close to that.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

Introduce Yourself / New here
« on: August 13, 2009, 01:30:10 am »
Hi, I'm new to the site. I as yet haven't purchased a Thermomix ...... but wanting to!!!  Like others my concerns are...1. Will I get the use out of it? Long time friends have one and that's how I found out about it. they live in the country so don't see them too often, but when we did our usual annual visit they raved about it, but the only thing they made was creamed rice. Mind you, all the kids that could read knew how to make it though!!!! 2. Finding the time for a demo or even getting to one. There seems to be only one consultant for the area of western Sydney and also found out the other day she is going away for 3 months and the end of August. So now if I want a demo I have to go to Avalon..... I don't even know where that is!!!!! 3. Convincing hubby that I should get one, and sell our other appliances!!!! So any advise would be great thanks!!
