You can use it as a butter substitute on scones, pikelets, etc. or to fill small lemon tarts, etc.

The lemon butter can be used in this recipe of Chookies joynatalie.

I think it could also be used to replace the filling in this recipe of hers too.  Correct me if I am wrong please Chookie.

Welove it on toast in the morning too. If you like it joynatalie you can make some. The EDC recipe is lovely.

Thanks JD and Chookie for those two recipes, I've just copied them and they both look delicious - how come I am so attracted to those recipes that add to my already "traditional" shape (to quote Alexander McCall Smith - for those who don't know him, his books are great.  This reference is from his No. 1 Detective Agency series).

Sorry, got a bit side-tracked there.

I make a Lemon Spread,  which is also known as Lemon Butter,  however there is NO butter in the recipe I use.  (much better for the Traditional figure)   I have just made a double lot ,  for as Judy has pointed out,  I use it in these 2 cakes.  If you use my recipe, follow the weight measurement so as to get a nice strong tang.  The Lemon Feather Cake is so easy,  but is a special event cake.  The Belgium lemon cake can be used as a dessert or as a cake.  Some people don't like my recipe as it contains Custard Powder.
I feel that the butter would add more to this Traditional Figure.
