I would love to fly over and show you!! I love DC!!!! Spent many a summer living in Kensington, MD :D

Do you think TM would fund me???  ;)

Thanks Judy. Some 'fun' times ahead me thinks.  :-[ :-\   Our grocery bill seems to one of the things that needs to be managed better. I sold my TM31 a few weeks back so waiting for delivery of my TM5. Hoping to use this 'down time' to get prepared with my meal plans etc.

If anyone has any good hints/tips/recipes to share for the budget (but health) conscious, please feel free to share and I will compile into a document and share :)

I'm keen to try and do this.  My husband's income has halved and we're going backwards at the moment. It would be great to get on top of some household expenses by keeping the grocery bill down.

Has anyone gone through the thread and compiled recipes etc to make a meal plan?  I might try do this if no one else has done it.

Chit Chat / Does the TM5 come with a thermoserver?
« on: March 14, 2015, 11:23:28 pm »
Hi

When I got my TM31, it came with a thermoserver. Just wondering if anyone knows if it's the same with the TM5? I'm upgrading the machine but realised my consultant never mentioned it. I've got some thermoservers already but you can never have too many right!?! :)

I haven't swapped as I have kept my TM31. It has been fortunate as I have had a little trouble with the TM 5. Nothing major.
I think it is a decision that only you can make. I love both of mine.

Can I ask what issues you have had Cookie?

Great to hear of others experiences.

I didn't get the 2nd jug with mine, but would be hoping to get a promo for one for the TM5 this year.

For those of you who did sell your TM31 - can I ask what they sold for?  I've had people offer me $800 for mine and I think that's ridiculous! LOL

I'm seriously considering swapping to the TM5 from the TM31. Unfortunately I can't afford to keep two. Has anyone made the swap and regretted it? :)

This is amazing. Even my hubby who is anti TM risotto adores this and requests it for dinner every week.

THANK YOU!!!!! :)

Definitely going to try this tonight! Love that it doesn't need stock as I'm all out of TM stock and at my MIL's, so no time to remake.

Salads / Re: Yummy Brown Rice Salad

Finally made this after having it bookmarked for 2 months. Big hit at our place.  Wasn't sure if the one cup of rice would be enough for us (4 adults,  1 child), so made another salad to complement. I will definitely make this again & if entertaining, probably make double so there's extras! :)

Jamberie - is the budget busters one you mentioned the same as the cooking on a budget book I've listed or is it different? I can't find a budget busters on the TM website but have seen mentions of it online?

Chit Chat / Re: What have you been doing today?

Today I have been busy -

dealing with estate agents, organising a conveyancer as we're moving.

I've also been trying to decide which TM books to buy, while trying to find out the contents of all the books on my wishlist .. . . oh and taking care of my overseas visitors and my 13month old bub. Gotta love having a day off! ;)

Yeah I tried that, but didn't make a difference. My blades sounded like they weren't moving around - nor was the ice/fruit in there. Looking forward to trying it again soon.
