A follow up visit to the doctor for DH.  All good apart from a revision for another MRI in 12 months time.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Mab, very good news.
K ATIE, use the powdered milk for cooking and buy big 2 lt cartons of LL .  Check the use by date. Butter freezes well. I buy very good expensive for eating and cheap butter for cooking.
I am learning a lot.  For example, the numbers on prawns/ shrimp relate to how many you get to a Kilo. 8/10 means that many to a kilo.  Very large ones. And very expensive.
Today spending lots of time in the garden with the chooks.  All the greens are growing well.

That sounds pleasing Mab.
This morning I had to pop up to the post office as I needed to send a book to a friend.  She needed it fairly soon. It was easier to post it than visit.

It will pay DH to have further checks Margaret - I like doctors who want follow up tests done.
Your postal deliveries must be quicker than ours Denise and if you’re time poor then a good idea to post it off.

That’s a great idea to use the powdered milk for cooking thank you Chookie. Didn’t get any longlife but have a few small ones at the moment.
I have done a big shop of meat today , managed to repackage it all so there is more room in freezer . I am  Crazy , ice cream ( a big treat , later on I’ll make some ) butter , frozen fruit , Barra pieces( friends tip they come sealed in there own packets so no so hard to thaw ) , peas ! Aldi frozen chicken Kiev ( DH treat) , fresh blueberries on special popped each container into snack snap lock bags . Oh dear never allowed near the supermarket for awhile DH jaw was dropped. He then said I did a good job putting it all away and making prawn risotto for dinner . Now i think I may need therapy or silver lining we can finally have not to worry about meat . What happens if the kids go vegan I’m in trouble.

Keep your fingers crossed, K Atie, that they go vegetarian rather than vegan - vegetarian is much easier ... just everything except meat or fish, vegan is more complicated.

Well done K ATIE.  Big job putting it all away.
Yesterday spent more time on the Solar.  Rang the Government body to see status of our application and they have lost it.  Could you believe it !!!
Glad Dinner was simple. Spag Bol from freezer.  Poor chooks didn’t get their run.

Good to hear your DH is doing well Mab.
I have mum in hospital at the moment. Today is day 11. Her problem was all sorted on Friday and I'm not sure why she is still there. She is in a public hospital and it's not like them to keep a bed filled if not required. Hopefully home today. The discharge planner rang me on Friday to see what services mum had in place. She also rang My Aged care to see when the ACAT assessment would take place, only to be told that there is no record of a request for an assessment. Back to square 1. Will follow up with that tomorrow.

Michele, that is very disappointing about your lost application.  With mine, not so important.
We had 10 minutes of sun this morning.

Good luck with getting the ACAT asap Michele, I guess it’s our Covid situation which is causing hold ups and lost applications for many people at the moment.

That is not good that any paper work is lost, be it for solar or ACAT. Paper work can’t go into cyber space like emails, so it must be somewhere.
I didn’t get on the forum yesterday. I spent the afternoon waiting for my Apple Watch to charge and then the evening playing with it. I feel I have barely covered it’s capabilities, but I will get there.

Mab I can just imagine how you feel about the mice. I dislike them intensely. With cockroaches, they will make me clean anything out immediately.

Cookie, have fun with your watch.  We love ours.   When I talk on mine, I feel like Maxwell Smart. Today I have to ring Vic Government about our Solar.  Not looking forward to this.
Putting in a an order for fruit and veg. An order seems to last a fortnight.

Cookie, like you I hate mice and cockroaches.

The NBN man came again yesterday and did more tests.  He checked the wiring in the house and all good.  He has replaced and repaired some underground wiring out in the street. He seemed confident that this would fix the problem.  I hope he is right.

I hope he is too Mab.
I put a bit more rubbish in the bin, and squished it down as it is rubbish day tomorrow. I also shredded some more paper and found lots of old recipes I had saved.
