HELP PLEASE! I'm desperate!
« on: May 12, 2017, 04:21:01 am »
As you may be aware we are away at the moment. DH has promised to make a rice pudding for someone who gave us some fish. The recipe I use is in the caravan book I made which I seem to have lost.
It had milk, which you heated for some time, then added rice and sugar and cooked it. It had no eggs, butter etc
Please, does anyone know what the recipe is? It may be from the EDC but I forgot to bring it. I've checked all the recipes on here.
Thanks in anticipation. I will be forever in your debt.

I'm just looking for you Cookie.
The old EDC has one but it has 2 eggs that are lightly beaten then added after the initial rice/milk mix...could that be it?

Sorry Jamberie, that's not it. It's very kind of you.  Please don't go to any trouble. DH has now decided he can remember it!  At least we can try his memory one and eat it ourselves.

I think this is the one you usually do cookie, it's my favourite too. From My Way of Cooking.

Oh Judy, what would I do without you? Thank you so very much. DH is up the beach fishing so I will make it now. We winged it and made one for the friends but got things slightly muddled. We knew it wasn't our usual recipe but they love it.
Thank you so very much. I have photographed it and put it into Snap recipes for next time.
