I’ve been wondering the same KAtie. I use both the 5 and 6 pretty much every day. I think I’ll wait ans see if they release a 7.

Recently my 31 has been playing up and I have to think about a replacement as I do not think they service 31s anymore. Hopefully my 31 will carry on, but it is interesting to read that a new model may be coming along.

Marina, just found this online, posted in July. Perhaps you could ask HO or your Consultant (if you have one) if they’re able to service yours before the end of 2024. I got in early and had mine done.
‘The Thermomix® TM31 was last manufactured in 2014. In the last couple of years owners have been told that in 2024 production of new parts to the TM31 will cease. That time has now come and production is ending. Australia still has stock of some parts but these are not expected to last long.’

When my brother bought his 6 a while back, he sent his 31 in to be checked over for his son. As far as I know it’s still there. I do know that some parts were becoming unavailable.

I’ve been wondering about a new model. I can’t see what significant changes that might be incorporated. There are small things like the slow closing lid and an adaption to the base of the blades to stop food being difficult to remove. Larger bowl? It would have to be really significant.

Chookie you’re so right with what would they improve. They no longer service TM31 in Melbourne now .

Very sad. I think the 31 and 6 are the best models.

I agree 100% Chookie. The 5 was a bit wishy washy and I feel it was a fill in.

Yes Cookie, the 5 was the transition between the manual and fully electronic 6. A not very flattering report in the Age at the weekend on direct selling, mentioning TMX.

I don’t like the method of selling much Chookie. However they definitely need to be demonstrated so I’m not sure what would work.
Tonight when I was making the bread rolls my 6 froze. It’s never happened before. I switched it off at the power, waited and then put it back on. It was ok then. Fingers crossed it’s ok.

Cookie, that is strange. My 6 is having a very hard life with all the jam and paste I’m making. I don’t trust the scales, so weigh everything. I think I may have made about 400 small to medium jars this year. And then there is all the other stuff.
I think there is enough information and demos on the internet to inform people on how to use the TMX. I feel the consultants get a pretty rough deal. ( remove this if you think its inappropriate here)

I won't be surprised if my 6 needs a service. Like yours Chookie it works very hard.

Yes. Apparently Voerwok (?) want to come into the Asian region so they have sold up. Grace and her DD will be leaving but they said their DH’s will stay with the company.
