Chit Chat / Help converting

Hi Everyone hope we are all happy I am trying to work out how to convert some favourite recipes to the tmx.  Is there a general rule when it comes to converting eg: if I have to beat I should use a certain number on tmx or if I have to mix use  :-: back of the blades?  Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers

I made the raw chocolate dairy free sugar free gluten free yesterday and it was quite bitter still but I was using as a base in a coconut almond slice that asked for hazlenut spread so I added some hazlenuts and followed recipe in TMX book for hazlenut spread and it was beautiful

I'll definately be making it again.. Thanks for the great recipe..

Hi everyone Im trying to convert a recipe and wanted to know if the recipe asks for 130 gm of sugar if I use rapadura instead of raw sugar is it the same quantity or do you put less with the rapadura with it being a stronger taste?

Hi

I have just got ingredients ready to make up my first batch of chocolate!!

Ive got one queryi in the recipe it say's 1 pinch of whole ground Vanilla Bean.

Could you please tell me how I prepare this in TMX

Do I grind the whole bean or just the seeds?   Do I need to dry it out before hand ?

Sorry for silly question

Welcome.

Glad you found the forum I'm from Mackay I have been following failsafe as well at the moment I am just sticking to no gluten and dairy with my son to try build his immune system.  So I know what you are going through and it is a pretty big eye opener when you discover the mainstream of food out there is not failsafe I didn't have my tmx when I did the elimination it makes such a difference when you can make things from scratch and know exactly what is going into the food you give to your children.  Hope you enjoy the forum and your tmx.

Hi Monkey madness.

I'm new to the tm and forum as well I noticed you said your son is dairy free egg free and nut free and sesame seed free WOW do you have a huge job on your hands.  My hat goes off to you as I thought I had it hard with my son going gluten and dariy free.  I guess you would be constantly trying new things so this forum should be a wonderful help to you.   Hope to share some recipes with you on the special diets section

Hi Everyone have been surfing the net finding new fabulous recipes tried and tested by other thermomix users... Thanks for sharing!!! ;) Have only had my thermomix a week and a half and am absolutely lovin every minute..  If fact there is just not enough hours in the day to do all the cooking I want...I guess the novelty will wear off of wanting to do everything  NOW.  I am in the process of writing a weekly menu plan so I don't make too many deserts that have to be tested.... ;D  What do they say everything in moderation...

We'll I thought I'd just say hello and introduce myself and hope to be able to contribute many yummy recipes to share with everyone.

Have a great night..
