Has anyone else tried this? And for a really stupid sounding question, the recipe says to wrap the stuffing in foil to bake it or put it in the bird... so I am assuming that it goes in the bird without the foil right?
It would also be useful to know what sized turkey it would suit too.

After reading this post I bought the first 4 Jack Reacher for my DH for Christmas. Hopefully he will enjoy them.

My fruity pear mince is cooking now. Frozzie have you made these before? How many tarts to you expect to get from one batch?

Can anyone tell me how many of the tartlets these make? I have been told to use double the pastry recipe as there is a lot of fruit mince and I am trying to figure out if I should do the single pastry amount and them make the left over mince into puddings... too many decisions.

They seem almost double the size of my silicone moulds so I guess I will end up with lots more.

Thanks JD.

The book says that this recipe makes "18 little puddings" - what size moulds would these be? I am thinking of using my silicone cupcake/muffin moulds but have no idea how much the recipe will produce.

Hi all,
I was thinking of making the Christmas steamed puddings from the Festive Flavours cookbook but I don't have dariole moulds. Do you think I could use my silicone cupcake moulds instead?

I don't have a kindle but my mum does and she loves it. She was very excited to discover that she could use her iPhone as a hotspot for the kindle (which is wifi) when she is not near her computer.

I rad the lovely bones and enjoyed it but it was sad.

Another good book club book is called The Danish Girl, about a man and his wife and what happens when he decides he should really be a woman.

I have started back at work full time after my DH's business took a bad turn (off a cliff). So DH is now the homebody and is dealing with the school related things. Yesterday was the start  of the boys' two week intensive swimming program and this was the report I received from DH about DS7:

"Sam went into the pool with his school shorts on. Left his undies on the bus after showing Mrs L that he had them. Borrowed pants from school and left his bathers on under, and now it seems he has lost his goggles."

All in all a good start to the swimming program.

Hi Cookie. As I understand you can be a member of as many libraries as you like and borrow from all of them. You are right though, they don't have a huge number of copies but you can put a hold on books. The library I joined is nowhere near me - but they let me join online and had the book I was after. I keep meaning to send DH off to sign up at some others too.

Also worth noting that you can download the book on multiple devices too, you just log in to overdrive using your library details, so this is one way to share a book  - I borrow for my DS11 and he logs in and downloads on his iPod. Works really well.

Just saw the previous post. My fav sci-if at the moment are by Peter Hamilton. I also really like Matthew Reilly. Robin Hobb and Katherine Kerr are my fav fantasy writers.
