Lovely food Maddy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the icing. Will stay away from that one.
Made pretzels, preserved lemons and chicken & bacon macaroni cheese.

Gorgeous cupcakes as usual maddy!

Next Friday I am going overseas for 10 days for a work training course, leaving DH with the 2 kids, so I have been having a big cook-up of food to leave behind for them:  Chelsea's chow mein, Judy's apricot chicken, JulieO's beef enchiladas, Dede's choc crunch slice, Johnro's apricot and choc chip biscuits (isnt it funny how we get to know these recipes by the name of the people who posted them!!)

I am also making Tenina's Lemon Chess Pie (from whats for dessert) to take out to dinner at our neighbours house tonight.  It is in the oven now, and smelling wonderful!

I also made a double batch of chocolate ice-cream.  I left the room for about 5 minutes, and came back to find DS doing this  :o :o
And the spatula was being dipped into the ice-cream churn - not the bowl next to it!

You are good to them Karen. I recently went away overseas for work too. Left a few freezer meals too but mostly my DH cooked. I really missed them but appreciated the kid free time as well :)

We've just had a day at home after a week of holidays. It's been nice. Of course I've been cooking.
