Looking forward  to a three day weekend ... lots of cooking and perhaps a bit of sewing if the mood takes me.  We have got a couple of hectic weeks coming up and I anticipate collapsing in a blubbering heap at the end of it all!!!

We had our long weekend last week.
I vacuumed this morning, but not much else.

Had my first crown appointment wow that was fun ( not ) . Even opted for the gas . Dentist very good , we always chat and have laugh . Mind you after taking great care all these years for my tooth to be drilled away, I’m not that happy . Worst still changed tooth to do .. so another one latter on . Caught up with DD clothes and food drop off . Boys nearly finished planting Oats going in , DS was out there nearly 8 hours ,DH took over late last night . Cannot believe how cold it is , but keep visiting Kittens in dog runs , they seem ok .

Crowns aren’t fun KAtie.
I went for my 6 monthly skin check up this morning. I think I had about 23 nitrogen burns, but nothing to be cut out. The specialist also treated my friend who recently passed away. We had the most wonderful time speaking about her. He was late when he saw me, but was even later after seeing me. I really appreciated it.

Boys out feeding sheep . Tried to get the fires going , some days it’s completely frustrating to keep them going , I just blame the wood or the wind . DS drove back to school , quick shop and drove home .

I finished off a "baby cake" this morning ready for the new GGC when it arrives.  The cake is made of rolled up nappies, then wrapped in material and decorated with baby items.  I used singlets, bibs, mittens, socks, a little grow suit and a few other small items with fluffy booties tied on top.

It’s nice to have a chatty doctor or specialist cookie, most are so busy these day that it’s a rare thing. Great results again, doing the right thing as far as exposure to the sun goes really pays off.

I love open fires in winter K Atie but wouldn’t like the work that goes with it.

Your baby cake is a great idea Margaret, it sounds as if it is a very big ‘cake’.

Margaret that is so very beautiful.

Off to the eye specialist again this morning. All clear and no need for glasses at all. He laughed when I told him I could see lots of extra wrinkles. He said lots of people say that. 20/20 vision now.

The baby cake looks great, Margaret, I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.

Broke my temporary crown yesterday, so back to the dentist tomorrow.

I’ve only just seen the photo of the baby cake Margaret, how fantastic is that! I love that idea.

Good luck at the dentist today Marina. Temporary it certainly was.

Oh bugger Marina. How very annoying.

I did my grocery shopping this morning. DD and I were going out to lunch (she is on holidays) but she is having problems with a tooth. She thinks it may be a crown coming up. It must be the season for them. 😀😀

DIL called in for a cuppa this morning.  We haven't seen her for a week or more as she has been working nights in the ED.

The ED is very hard work Mab.
DD went to the dentist tonight. He said t is a root canal job. Apparently the nerve had calcified or something.
