A Parkin cake is really a ginger cake, absolutely yum. I can email cousins in the uk for the recipe, but it wont be in TM format. Please let me know if you would like it.
I love Parkin cake.

I am having my 3rd demo in 3 months!
We have been asked if we would like to have an Asian demo, so this Thursday it is booked for. Has anyone else had this demo.

I am off to the shops shortly to buy a few things to make a couple of vegetarian pizzas. Would love some ideas I use baby spinach but a few recipes recommend that I cook before placing on base. I always added raw leaves at the end of cooking. What do you all do? Thanks Hally

Its on my menu plan for Wednesday dinner. I had a bit of spare time this morning so I thought I would make it. Well yumm!! I didint have any parmesan cheese in stock, so I stirred a little cream through instead.
I also used chicken paste stock (2 tbls) as I had this ready to go.
Had to have this for lunch it was so tasty, not sure if there will be any left for dinner on Wednesday evening.
Tried to put the link on but couldn't work it out - its under soups in the recipe section, great for this time of year.

My favourtie meal is risotto, in any shape or form, but I love wild mushroom risotto. I have made the one in the EDC book, its nice but to me quite bland.
I am going to make one this week with home made liquid chicken stock, porcini and Swiss brown mushrooms and also going to use some white truffle oil.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I have never done this before. This is my first week of menu planning, my usual weekly grocery bill is around $300 per week which is ridiculously high considering I feed 2 adults and a 7 year old boy (who eats like an adult).
To date my bill this week is just under $200 - which also includes buying food in for my varoma demonstration. I might spend another $20 on a few extra items, but will see if I can go without.
I am really impressed with the menu planning idea and will try to do this each week. If I can save $100 per week on food within approx 4 months my TM will have paid for itself.
Would be great if there was a "budget meal" section in the recipe index.
All I can say is another win for the TM.

HI everyone,
I am having a demo tomorrow, it will be really nice to see how to use the varoma and see what can be made in it. I am really looking forward to it.
So if anyone has any easy recipes in the varoma they could recommend it would be good to try them out in the next few weeks.
Thanks Hally

Hi everyone,
I am having high tea at my house for mothers day this sunday. As we do not have any family here we have invited some good friends and their parents. I would like to food to taste great, but would love to be able to prepare as much as I can on the sunday.
I am hoping to show off my new Thermomix and make as much as possible in the machine.
Suggestions and recipies would be most welcome.
Thanks - Hally

Hi everyone,
I received my lovely new machine last Tuesday and have been having such fun cooking with the Thermomix. I made some soup today and actually felt like I had cheated! It was sooooo easy.
Hoping to get lots of tips and recipe ideas.
