I finally got Burial Rites from the library and didn't have time to read it  :'(  When May rolls around I will be catching up on all the books I've missed.

What's happening in May Michele?

I will be finished my course  ;D

Received our new book club book last night. Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. It certainly looks different. I bought Patricia Cornwell's Dust today. It was cheaper at K Mart than as an e book. I enjoy 'who dunnits. '

Finally finished Anna Karenina - bit of a marathon effort but I'm glad I did it! Feel like something contemporary now so downloaded Barracuda by Christos Tsolkas (probably spelt it wrong), ebook was under $10. Also downloaded The Luminaries and The Secret Keeper, both also under $10 - should be set for summer holidays now!
Did I mention I love my kindle? :)

I ve just read "All Good Things" by Sarah Turnbull which I enjoyed. It's a memoir which covers her life married to a Frenchman and their stay in Tahiti.
I bought a couple of books at the fete to read on holidays - Phantom by Jo Nesbro, and the hypnotists love story by Liane Moriarty (which I picked up because her name has been mentioned on this thread)

I'm reading Flight Behaviour by Barbara Kingsolver at the moment and enjoying it - except my Kobo is not behaving and still tells me I'm 1% through it (maybe it's REALLY long  ;) ) and I lost my place when I charged it.  Not sure if it's the book format or my slightly worn out Kobo.
Next up is The Luminaries, but I also just collected Room from the library which I reserved a while ago, so I'd better get onto that one too before it's due back again!

I just finished reading "the husbands secret" by Liane Moriarty and was disappointed in many ways. It failed for me in the descriptive narrative and I found it difficult to find a true connection with some of the characters. I found the story line was good but didn't  live up to expectation

I thought Gone girl and the husband's Secret are good holiday reads. Perfect with a glass of wine in one hand...

Just finished  One Evil Act an Inspector Lynley novel by Elizabeth George. This one is focused on his offsider Barbara Havers and her Pakastani neighbour.

Different from the usual Inspector Lynley and a welcome change.

So far these holidays I've read Barracuda (much more palatable than The Slap) and The Secret Keeper which I really enjoyed. Will probably start The Luminaries next.

I didn't like The Slap at all. I have just finished Dust. I don't seem to have got much reading done lately. I have until Tuesday night to start and finish my book club book. I do work best under pressure. :-))
