I have just got home from listening to Katie Fforde speak at the Canning Bridge library. She was quite interesting. The silly taxi driver took her to Cambridge Library first. Over the other side of the river !

I have just started the Long Goodbye a Memoir of Grief by Meghan O'Rourke. A very emotional book and very well written.

I have been burdened with the arrival of two massive issues of Vanity Fair and one of Delicious so have been a bit behind. I can't read mags at night so took myself off to a bubble bath with my Kindle a G & T and got stuck into Consider the Fork. Oh boy, I was there until the bubbles disappeared, the water was cold and the  G & T was no more. Loving it . We would all love it. A real "our kind of book". Thank you Amanda  x  100.

I wanna be in Adelaide for the Food Fest! BWAAAAAAAA!

You're welcome Gretchen - it is a great read.
Have you read "Extra Virginity" by Tom Mueller - it's all about olive oil. You'll never take it for granted again after reading that book!

Reading is better than any occupation I can think of Amanda.

I've finished The Ice Princess and just downloaded the 2nd book in the series, but might read something else first. After reading an article in the paper about Game of Thrones, I've put the 1st book on my wish list, but not sure I wanna go there. I don't mind fantasy occasionally but this seems like pretty heavy going - anyone read the books?

Deedub I devoured first book in the Game of thrones series, have started the second.  I then started watching the TV series warning its a bit graphic (lots of boobs). I've found the second one harder going. I don't ever read fantasy, so it was something totally different for me.

I haven't read a book I think since before DS was born! He's 3 now... lol.

I'm going to start reading James Patterson's 11th Hour. I'm a sucker for basically all of his books!

Who is the author of "Consider The Fork"? I would like to reserve it at the library.
