Baked some honey and soya sauce chicken wings. The family's favourite wings. It's so good that I could increase the amount of chilli flakes (I'm training son #3 to eat hot food) and the wings would still "fly" out of the plate

Made chicken and prawns tom yam soup for extra kick on a cold night. Plus rice, our usual carbo.

I'd say 35 minutes for a 1.6kg chicken BZB.

I will give it a go.

Errr... How do I "pause" the TM when I want to have a look at the progress midway?

Going to try making Chicken Rice for dinner.

The recipe has a variable time (25- 45 min) to steam 1.5-1.7 kg chicken. Would anyone know how much time for a chook that's 1.6kg?

I've only tried poaching when I cook Hainanese Chicken Rice. I recall having to cook a few time before finding the perfect process and simmering time for the chicken to be cooked to the right texture and no redness in sight.

So IT arrived 2 days ago! 

But....I have yet to cook anything on my thermomix. Too busy running around like a headless chook. Have been reading bits of the manual though, bits of the cookbook and thinking about what to cook

I did use it to make a Malaysian chilli paste today. (Confirmed: I can get rid of my old food processor. Woohoo!) Had trouble turning on the speed dial, and had to read the manual twice. Then at the last round of grinding, forgot to use the MC. Ended up with chilli splats on the wall. Hahaha

The buzz in this forum is so warm and welcoming.

Totally different from Whirlpool. Have been poking my nose there recently cos we are planning a kitchen reno.  There are some very helpful members there, and some who would cut you to bits without a second thought. Scary.

Anyway, I'm still waiting....for my magic machine. Have thumbed through the EDC. Some interesting stuff there. Waiting for the Asian cookbook to accompany the EDC.

Keep wondering how I'm going to convert my mostly Malaysian recipes to the thermomix. How would the taste be different? Still thinking about the first meal once it arrives

Hello, hello....

Expecting my Thermomix next month.....and sooooo excited already!

Just a short intro. I'm a busy mummy of 3 super active boys. Days and weekends are always frantic - shuttling them around, preparing for meals, grocery shopping etc etc etc. And constantly feeling guilty for feeding them junk for afternoon tea. Hoping that my Thermomix will fix that 

Looking forward to making new friends in this fab forum
