I too reduce the sugar in most recipes. Never put sugar in stewed fruit . Was thinking sausage rolls , might do the veggie  ones . Holding back on them as donot want to use all my frozen pastry . Savoury muffins would be good but DS is a bit fussy , he is not that lean on them .
Hope to have a good day of cooking and jobs .

DH requested a meat loaf for dinner so  have made that and used the left over mixture to make sausage rolls.
Made Cornflake Cookies yesterday, miss  read the recipe and put in 2 eggs instead of 2 tablespoon milk.  They turned out ok and no one has complained.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Nothing cooking down here today ... I am just plotting and planning a weekend of cooking stews and hearty soups. I am feeling the cold today so am just in the mood to eat either one ... or both - and I have neither in my freezer so I will continue to fantasise for the rest of the week!

Oh Marina, but what will you eat ?
I am itching to make some home made pasta.  Haven’t made any since shifting to Invermay.
Also the Medlars are ready to pick to make jam.  They have to sit for a couple if weeks.

Chookie what are medlars please? I know I should google it.

DH requested a savoury biscuit. DD had saved a recipe from some where or o;ther that were cheese and rosemary twists. they are in the oven now.

These are delicious. They are quite puffy when you eat them. Next time I will add a bit of cayenne.

Cookie, Medlars are a type of Apple.  They think the modern apples developed from them.  You pick them and then let them go soft.  I don’t do this. I put them in the TMX with a bit of water and smash them up.  I then cook them and put them through the jelly bag.  They make a lovely apple type jam/ jelly.

Love the look of your pizza for GD Chookie.
Today I picked up some F & V to last me through Easter so to keep myself busy I prepared them for freezer stocks.

Judy, time well spent.
The vegetarian pizza for GD was made in a different way.  I usually cook pizzas in the electric pizza machine.  This one was cooked in a cast iron dish in the oven. Because the base didn’t brown, I then put it, in dish over the gas.  She loved it.
I also made white bread sticks but used a commercial packet of yeast and improver. It gave a dense texture that I didn’t really like. Could be that the instructions said one rise and I did two.
I also made Pea and Ham soup.  I always add a handful of oatmeal.

Made “my favourite Quiche “ from my blog.  8 curry puffs and Meat sauce for Spaghetti.  Might make a meat loaf also so I don’t have to cook for a couple of days.
Will try and post some photos.
