I don't know if I should review these as I really messed up the method
I cooked these yesterday at mums (so not my own kitchen) and while I was making them was talking to Dad - not a good idea! Anyway my biggest mistake (and there were a few) was after cutting the scones I realised that I hadn't put the cheese in them!! I didn't want to remix them again as it would make them tough so just put the cheese on top and then put the topping on top of that. While obviously they would be much better if I had put the cheese in they were soft and still tasted lovely. I was really intrigued at the separate topping mix that goes on top just prior to cooking. Definitely worth making - even with mistakes
