Thanks all. I find humour often takes the place of tears. If you didn't crack a funny you would end up crying.
When Mum was very ill we used to tell her that if she had an accident we would put her outside and hose her down. When it did happen we threatened we would do it next time- it saved us both being embarrassed and in tears.

I am so excited,  or GD has announced that they are having baby#2 in January.  I never expected to have a great Grand child,  let alone 2. She sent us a picture of the ultra sound taken today,  so happy :):):)
