Cleaning Brush?
« on: June 07, 2012, 03:00:17 am »
Hi all,

I attended a Back to Basics Cooking Class the other day and the consultant (who is not my consultant) said that all of us who owned TM's would already have the cleaning brush (the bright green one that looks like a toilet brush).

Problem is that I don't have this brush.  Was my consultant meant to give me one when she dropped off my machine six months ago?  I couldn't stay back to ask after the class cause it ran overtime and I had to leave.

I do already have the spatula & brush set from Super Kitchen Machine but would like to have this one too if I am entitled to it.

It must be something newish asha - I certainly never received a brush when I bought my machine back in 2008.  I'd certainly check with the person who delivered yours though.

My consultant gave me one of those brushes when she delivered my TMX in January 2011. I got the feeling it was an added extra she & some other consultants liked to give out as "freebies", more than it was something that came with your purchase. I think it came from my consultant & not HO.

I may be wrong though!

I was told that it's not actually a gift (but that's what the consultants say) and its actually part of the purchase. I got one when I brought mine in January 2011 as well.

I didn't get one when my consultant delivered my machine last year, but when I had a demo at my house with some friends, I did get one.

I paid my consultant $6 for mine. It is useless.

I paid for mine - but I actually find it quite useful for cleaning the rice basket when I have used it to stop sauce spitting out the top of the machine. Probably wouldn't need it if I rinsed the basket straight away......

There is no entitlement to the cleaning brush.  It can be purchased at cooking class.  Some consultants generously give them to their customers but the brush is not routinely supplied.

wow, I'm surprised by those who say they don't use theirs or they find it useless!  Mine basically lives on my kitchen sink and gets used regularly for cleaning my tmx.

Mine was a gift from the consultant (who is also my Mum  ;))

Thanks all for clearing that up.

Most of the people at the class were customers of the consultant running it so she must have given all of them a brush as a bonus and forgotten that some of us there had a different consultant.

When I got my TMX my consultant gave me the Gluten Free cookbook, which I thought was extremely generous of herl

My consultant gave me a brush but it was an Ikea one as he said he was out of the TMX ones. I love the ikea brushes and have gone on to buy a few more of them over the last couple of years.
