Cookie, that does look nice.  Good to have a change and add variety.

Thank you. DH finished cutting it with the electric knife.
This morning I have made a Classic loaf using half Khorasan.  It says it has a buttery taste and the flour is a bit yellowish. I should have used 100% Khorasan. Next time I will.

Over the weekend apple tea cake and chocolate cookies, a great new mushroom quesidilla recipe (that would work well as a pie filling as well), peanut and vegetable noodles, triple tomato pasta and roasted sweet potato and spinach salad.

I came across some Thai eggplants in the market on Satuday.  I had never seen them before so bought half a dozen.  They are quite small - golfball or table tennis ball size - and roasted them with the sweet potatoes and put them into the salad.  They were OK, but I couldn't say I was totaly enamoured of them.

Your Peanut and Vegetable noodles sound nice Marina.
I've made a fruit loaf, using DJ's recipe from here. Nothing exciting in it this time, just almonds and sultanas. The Classic Loaf is in the oven.

I have some rather uproarious pictures in my mind of you wielding your 'blow torch' Chookie  ;)

Marina, your imagination would have been correct.  They are rather dangerous but very effective.  Ral said very useful in the shed.
