Handover of our renovation / extension earlier today ... very, very happy.  If anyone is interested the architect's concept is here:

https://www.tsaidesign.com.au/ (have a look at Atop a Shop)  The extension isn't really shown, it is mainly the renovation of the existing upstairs.  I am particularly impressed with the way the front of the building disappears for the summer months - the builder hasn't told us how to get that to happen yet!!

Please note the furnishings are his concept ... it is still very empty!

Denise - I hand over the renovations / new build stories to you now!

I saw a movie called The 39 steps many, many years ago Judy. It was quite scary.

Wow, super exciting Marina.

The doctor has decided that we will wait a bit and see how my wrist goes. Apparently there are a couple of ganglions in my wrist too.

Very exciting for you Marina.

Our build is going SO SLOW. All three of us 👨‍👧+ 🐶 are now residing in a caravan in our back garden during the coldest months of the year. 😳

Marina,  I have looked with great interest at the Architects impressions and they are amazing.  The use of the available space has been creatively maximised.  You will certainly enjoy living there.
CC, slow progress but at least you are moving. Just think how nice it will be when your house is finished and you can shift in.

Marina, a very exciting time for you.  I liked the way they have done things.

CC, it's a shame it's winter and you are in a caravan ... altough they can be very cosy, we lived in one for years whilst DH was training.  How long is the work meant to take?  All I can say is, it will be well worth it in the end  :)

Your architect/builders have been very clever Marina.

CC it will be cosy in the van. Just think of the marvellous ending you will have. How is Chance going in the van?

Marina, I can now see why you are so excited about your renovations. It looks absolutely perfect, well done to all involved. You and DH must plan of working for many years to come and now it will be so much more comfortable once the business closes for the day. It’s been a few years since I walked through the door of your business and met you for the first time.

The ball’s in your court now Denise, at least a caravan doesn’t take much heating to become cosy.  Looking forward to seeing the progression of you new home.

DS played Cricket today , the most beautiful cricket pitch known ( at the foothills of a Dunkield ) . Saw him bat then off to DD summer netball game . Back to meet the boys for lunch . A bit of pulling out dead weeds that DH had sprayed around the house - with snake season upon us I decided that they had to many hiding places . Well did not get very far my knees from bending and pulling really hurt ! Hopefully we will all rally tomorrow together to finish it off.

You are so right girls it is cosy here in the caravan.
Chance is getting use to it. DH built a proper wooden steps so he can exit and enter the van more easily.
It looks as though ( fingers crossed 🤞) the house will be delivered by the end of March.  Everything is delivered on the back of five big trucks. First truck arrives on a Monday morning at 6.30 am and by Wednesday (the same week) the house will be have all walls in place, roof on and watertight. It takes 8-10 weeks for it to be fitted out. Being a “kit home “ it’s fast to build.
I’m hoping to get loads of photos so you all can see what’s happening. 😁
