For taking lunch to Uni

For DS as his backpack from Kmart has ripped

I have a problem, I'm collecting knives.  Lets Hope DH doesn't notice a new one.

Robyn, good luck with your move and new venture, you obviously know your market and between that and knowing your (potential) customers you should be up and running quickly.

JD hope your daughter's shops are thriving and the till keeps ringing up loads of sales for her - what a satisfying sound the till makes!!!!

 :) Thanks Marina.
Our business has been up and going 8 1/2 years, so time to expand.
We have just put another apprentice on this week. Its busy.

Lucky, our field is specialized, which is irrigation / pumps.
You have to know what you are doing, and farmers need irrigation.
I love retail, and it so suits me.

But i love my thermomix  and cooking too.

Picked up a great recipe book (not great if you require pics,s it was published as a result of the Qld floods when so many lost treasures including recipes handed down through generations) and the heart shaped cutters.
My thoughts went to many of you on reading the foreword in the book - 'Not everyone is lucky enough to have a kitchen Mum, those who build memories around the dining table each day'.

About to make orange and poppy seed cake from this book so will post later.  :)

What a great idea someone came up with Robyn, you don't stop to think of all the things people lose at times like that.

It's a Bento Box from Peters of Kensington.

The little container is for your sauce and the upturned lid has a groove so you can use it as a dipping bowl for sushi.

Robyn the Q'land book has some lovely recipes in it. I love these sort of books as they have peoples favourites in.

Good idea and forward thinking. I might be a copy cat as it is for a very good cause and the recipes look good.

I googled this book, but I couldn't see an Index - or had you seen it in the shops?

CP I've seen it in K mart and I think a couple of other places for the last few weeks. I can always be found looking at the cookbooks. 8) 8)

I buy loads of stuff online because we're in the bush and there's only one store in our town. Most of my shopping is from Australian stores, though. All my ingredients and bottles for my Skinflint business are sourced in Australia.

We used to have a wonderful kitchenware shop in Katanning, our main shopping area, but they closed down due to the owner's illness. I have nowhere local now to buy kitchen bits, so either wait for a trip to Albany or buy online.

I've only bought shoes recently, no kitchen stuff!

A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
