Hi, another newbie!!!
« on: December 15, 2011, 03:58:02 am »
Hi everyone!
I am going to be the proud owner of a TM in about 10mins  ;D
I'm so excited that there is such an excellent on-line community of TM users as I'm sure you'll be of great help to me.  I've been an active member of another well known recipe site and it feels kind of strange to be on another forum ???
Am SOOOOOO excited about owning a TM - my lovely hubby has bought it for me and is looking forward to the meals/baking etc that it can do.  I love cooking and baking and know that it'll make my life so much easier and fun to boot!!!!
Anwyay, enough of my babbling - look forward to chatting from time to time and gaining some much needed advice - I must admit that I'm a little in awe of the TM and worried that my first few attempts to cook anything will be a failure - hopefully I'll be proven wrong. ;D
Tam  :)

Welcome to the forum Tam, you are off to a great start in spite of the fact you had no delivery demo.  No stopping you now.

Thanks everyone for your very warm welcome!!!!!
Well, needless to say, my family were  VERY well fed last night. ;D  We loved it all.
I have a question though.........I'll ask in another section too - cooking the rice with the aroma function on speed 5 resulted in the MC popping out all the time and there was also quite a bit of water spitting out - is this normal?????? I actually turned the speed to 4 - not sure it this did anything.  Lovely rice though!

It is normal Tam, especially if you use the full quantity of rice. 100g rice serves 3 people so I usually cook 150g, have some for the freezer and have no trouble with bubbling over with this quantity. I think the max I cook these days is 300g.
