Has anyone ever made tomato jam in their thermomix? I’ve been given heaps of tomatoes and I really love tomato jam.

Do you mean a tomato jam that looks and tastes like raspberry jam cookie or a savoury one? Mum used to make one when I was young using a small bottle of Bobo cordial concentrate and no-one would have guessed it was made with tomatoes. This is the only one anything like it that I could find. I don’t think she put the raspberry jam in it though

“Tomato" Raspberry Jam
Simmer 2.75 kg peeled and chopped tomatoes for 30 minutes. Add 2.25 kg sugar, boil for 30 minutes. Add 440g jar of raspberry jam or a 50g packet of jam setter. Add 100ml of raspberry extract and boil rapidly for 20-30 minutes. Bottle and seal.

No, this is jam made using tomatoes that you would put on your bread or toast. I will find a recipe in Mum’s CWA book and just use the thermomix. I haven’t had any for years and love it. Thanks.

It’s a sweet jam Judy. Made like any fruit jam. Delicious. Although DH isn’t too sure, although he did say he remembers that my Dad loved it.
The recipe in a very old CWA book with a note Mum made.

I’ve been given a heap of tomatoes again, by the same person. I know where I will look for the recipe this time.
