Judy, it was really nice, not a strong beetroot taste.
I have been checking out the nutritional value and it really is a super food.
I have put another lot on. I buy organic beetroot from the Farmers Market.

Brunch this morning - an egg with fried bacon & zucchini bread from this site http://lovefoodies.com/bacon-and-cheddar-zucchini-bread.html.  It lifts the slice to another level by pan frying in a little butter.

Breakfast bruscetta, a crumpet toasted and topped with low fat ricotta mixed berries and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It is quite yum but would be better on some of Chookies sourdough crumpets.

Toasties with ham and cheese, I am loving the bread I am making lately.
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

I made a lovely breakfast last night to have for the next 2 mornings; 'Pear & raspberry overnight oats'.  A Michelle Bridges recipe where I used a pink lady apple instead of the pear and also used equal amounts of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries instead of all raspberries.  It was so refreshing on what's going to be a hot day.  Already looking forward to tomorrows  ;D

I skipped breakfast this morning, I just wasn’t hungry so couldn’t see any reason why I had to eat for the sake of eating. I don’t do that very often.

Thank you Judy, it was so nice.  I expected the apple to be soggy in today's serve but it was just as crisp.  Will make this one often.

The heat can put us off food now and then, hopefully your appetite will come back now it's cooled down again.

I love overnight oats or chia left overnight. My usual breakfast is now 2 weetbix with milk and a cup of tea, then a coffee.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I do like the chia pudding cookie. DD made me some ‘granola’ made with seeds, that’s really nice with coconut yoghurt and blueberries.  I have plenty of choices for breakfast, it’s probably the easiest meal of the lot.

Julie, that does look nice especially on a hot morning. I sometimes have something similar.  Yoghurt mixed with oatbran.  Blueberries and walnuts and a small amount of cinnamon. It doesn’t look like a lot but is very filling.
My alternate breakfast is one poached egg on one slice of SD toast.  Usually with grilled tomato or mushrooms.

I really enjoy having different breakfasts but prefer ones that I can prepare the day before.  I don't think I could be bothered spending too long on making one in a morning, so things like the overnight oats, smoothie bowls or buckwheat groats made into a porridge that gives me 4 or 5 serves I really enjoy too.
If I haven't organised something, I like a small bowl of Allbran with soy milk and a few berries and when I have made some, a dollop of coconut yoghurt.   :)

JulieO, can you suggest a good coconut yoghurt?  I tried giving one a try a year or so ago but didn't like the one I bought and haven't tried it again since then.
