Chit Chat / Re: Dan Lapard. All recipes are to be removed,
« on: February 25, 2012, 07:39:35 am »
Well that is very annoying as my Dan Leopard book arrived today - and I would never have ordered it if I had known he was authorising such stupidity. I had never heard of him before this forum - Chookie he should be sending you gifts, not telling you off. I work in advertising and am an expert in what is called in the industry 'social advertising'. And you are all absolutely correct. Smart brands are behaving with transparency and generosity online - and being rewarded for it. What he is doing is old fashioned and he will be alarmed with how quickly the consumer will bite back. Watch this space...

Soups / Re: Thick Broccoli & Cheese Soup
« on: December 06, 2011, 12:08:39 pm »
Even though I am constantly on this forum - ( I feel like I know you all!!!)  I don't often comment - but I just had to go and search out my user name and password to come on and say how delicious this recipe is. My dear friend is having chemo at the moment and so I am making her soups to take the load off having to cook. Last night I made Spicy Moroccan Lentil and Tomato, this divine Broccoli and Cheese soup and the EDC Carrot and Coriander. I also tried to make the pumpkin soup, but the pumpkins in uk are not great. They used to be only used as pig food and are still not widely available. The one I got was awful - very bitter. So that went down the drain. But just wanted to thank you Judy for this recipe - and all the other ones you've posted. Sorry not to have given you the feedback earlier, as I often come on here with questions or looking for recipes - and you always seem to have answered them or posted them - which I use and never thank you for. My lame excuse is; I am a busy mum with very demanding job. But please know you are a guardian angel to a displaced Australian in London!

Not sure if this thread is too old to comment on - but in case the OP still reads it - thank you - really, really great recipe.  One of those - wow I actually couldn't have done this without thermomix moments.  :)

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hi from UK

Trying all sorts of things. Mostly successfully  :) one thing I wondered is whether anyone had advice on keeping the lid on when making jam - and is that a question I should be asking under jams or general questions? Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hello, just getting my head around using the Thermomix and have been experimenting and reading all of your posts the last couple of weeks. Keen to start contributing recipes ... one day. For now, I just have lots of questions! I live in UK, but used to live in Australia so have the EDC as well as the UK recipe book.
