I'm so pleased to hear you say is a winner Gert :) I don't know why but I thought you would like this one.

I hope you give it a go Rosie,  it's quite quick to make, despite the number of steps involved (I wrote it in baby steps so I was less likely to make a mistake :) )

My lid and seal smells delicious after milling cardamom for about 3 days.

Oh dear GiloKez! I'm sorry you had problems.
I've only ever had one problem with it and it was when I didn't have any yoghurt and used milk with a squirt of vinegar instead. The texture on the outside was a bit rubbery, but still edible and tasted good. It's not a banana bread style as the crumb on this one is very fine and quite light, but moist at the same time.

I only wonder if maybe it was the particular yoghurt and a combination of the oven temperature/time in oven?
I've found that thick, pot set yoghurt (or even sour cream) is best. Hope this helps :)

Rubber was what my baking powder version was. I have more bananas this week...

Ah yes of course! I've made some rubber cakes when I've forgotten the baking power/soda too!

When I made this the other day I put half in the freezer. It came out yesterday and DH ate the lot! Said is was just as nice as fresh.

Yes, I think it is just as nice from the freezer too. I make the little ones (as in the pic) and freeze then wrapped individually (helps with portion control too!)
