Baked cauliflower from Simple this is the most delicious cauliflower I have ever eaten , even the Thani ( sesame seed paste ) dressing was liked by all. It takes 1and 1/2 hours but had a butterflyed chicken that took that long to cook too. Even roasted baby beetroots with carrots , all devoured .

Made 10 of these little individual sticky date pudding today.  Couldn't find my little jugs for the sauce so had to use a little bowl.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Lemon and poppy seed cake; mushroom stroganoff; lasagna and creamy vegetables with pasta ... last weekend I had a carrot weekend, this weekend has definitely been a pasta weekend - the carrots were healthier!

They look ready to put butter and honey on.

Today I made an apple cake, an apple tartine and some naan to go with dinner. My brother gave us a heap of apples.

30 second orange cake sounds good, Katie.

I giggled at your post, Cookie, I was given a big box of late season apples yesterday .... just an hour or so before I had to come back down to the city ...  and could not think of a single thing I could do with them in that time.  Consequently, I am on the hunt for (lots of) easy ways to use up apples as, apart from my TMX, I don't really have any useful prep or cooking space here!

Marina, you might like to make RTE Apple muffins.  They keep very well.
Cookie, that is a beautiful looking cake.
I bottle any excess of Apples in the microwave.  Handy to just grab a jar and can process a jar at a time.
Need to make some biscuits.  Still looking for the ultimate Choc Chip.

Yesterday I made some Choc Chip cookies.  Took a basic recipe and fiddled with it. Made it with gluten free flour, substituted some stevia for some of the sugar, added walnuts and dried cherries. They are crisp and light.  Acceptable
Also made Dede’s date and walnut loaf.  Also used gluten free flour.  Hate this stuff. Needs powerful flavours to cover that pasty taste. Just ok.

The walnut and date cake looks lovely. I have Katie's Overnight SD rising, a fruit loaf rising, a butter cake cooked in a swiss roll tin with apples on the top. (DH will take this to car club tomorrow as it's his birthday) and the biscuit barrel is empty so I hope to bake something for that.

The timer just went for DH's cake and it has boiled over!!!!!!! Not happy Jan.  It’s not too bad.
