This was absolutely delcious!.  We both thoroughly enjoyed this.

The sweet potato was perfectly cooked in the time stated.

For the liquid stock, I used hot water with 2 x 1tbs frozen Veg Stock conc cubes (Whisk's version) and for the Umami paste, I used 4 x 1tbs frozen cubes.

I didn't add any lemon juice as a garnish, but did add a little zest and parsley.

Wouldn't change a thing, 5/5  :D

Couldn't resist this soup. I had enough chorizio to make 1\2 a batch, so thought yes lets do it.

i didn't have any fresh green lentils, so used yellow split peas. All worked fine,  end result fantastic.

I reduced cooking times by 20% and cooked perfectly. Wish I had more, DH going to love this tonight.

H :)  It is so good I might hide it from DH & I will have it for lunch tomorrow too, it really is yum :P :P

OK, looks good Hally.  Until I get over my aversion to chorizo, what can anyone suggest I use in it's place please :-))  Mind you, we are in for a few hot days this week so it will be on the back burner until it cools down.

I know what you mean JD. Am planning on making the Chorizo Fetticine tonight from QFITT, and DD who is doing Weight Watchers atm added up the points and it came to 31 Weight Watcher points per serve  :o This was more than her total daily allowance. Will have to have a baby serving  :(

Maybe I could give all the meat to DH and then I'd end up with the flavour part of the meal  :-))

Made this again, love the flavour. Used red lentils again, also didnt have enough sweet potato so to bulk it ou used a carrot & a regular potato. Also used a large desert spoon of caramelised garlic paste

 fantastic, love this soup.

Don't know what I did wrong but when I cooked the lentils and water the water had evaporated by the finish of the cooking time. I then added extra water and the resulting soup ended up more watery than the photos in Tenina's book and on the forum.
