This is Dashingden's review from another thread

January 21, 2012

DW and I had the Speck and Salad Pizza for dinner tonight.  I am a traditionalist when it comes to pizza so had some reservations however the combination of flavors with the Jarlsberg, Dijon mustard and bacon (I used diced bacon from the deli counter at Coles because I couldn't get speck in town.) really complimented each other.

DW felt it was a little to 'oniony' for her so next time I will put less eschalots on her pizza.

The salad on top added another dimension adding texture not usually associated with pizza.

We had pizza last night and I did one of them like Tenina's Dinner Spinner one. I'm not sure about DH but DD thought it was lovely. Of course I loved it. It will be made every pizza night from now on. Compared to the usual pizza it tasted ever so healthy.

Review from thermoheaven

November 30, 2011

we've made the speck and salad pizzas several times already with different variations and it is always delicious. i've also been rolling the bases really thinly so i end up with 8 small to medium sized pizzas with thin bases which have cooked in 5-7 minutes each.

wanted to make this for some friends after seeing Tenina make it at one of her classes...soo yummy...everyone loved it!
I used onion instead of eshallots, and normal tasty cheese instead of jarlsburg (didn't have time to shop as worked late) and it was soooo quike to throw together thanks to hubby making the base before I got home  :D yes he's learnt to make a few selected recipes...baby steps  :P

We had this the other night and absolutely loved the base dough and how quick it is.. No real waiting time...i didnt do the topping as per recipe snd had a laugh when i saw mustard base in the review here as i didnt look at the topping ingredients as we like to do our own mix and we put dijon and cremebfraiche as its a known topping in frog land.. Sometimes with wholegrain.. One of my faves is creme fraiche with wholegrain, tomato slices, spicy beef and cheese.. Yum anyway we put the base sauce mentioned about three to one (one being the mustard) and then put a mix of emmental and parmesan, some cooked chicken then more cheese.. Kids absolutely loved it and tenina some of your recipes are really hitting the spot with dh.. He wouldntbshut up about the base .. In the end had to say YES i heard you the first time lol.. Will become a regular in this house 😃
