I'll be interested to hear how it tastes.

The verdict is in - very nice indeed!  I'd be interested to see how it tastes with the fresh leaves as the flavour with the powder was fairly subtle (but I guess you don't want the Lemon Myrtle to be too overpowering).  Thanks for the recipe Karen.

It's quite subtle using the fresh leaves as well VMS, you wouldn't want it too strong.

Made this yesterday and let it chill overnight before churning this morning.  I used all the leaves you sent Karen and just tasting the soft serve it's really lovely.  It reminds me of barley sugar lollies  ;D

I made my own coconut cream to use in the recipe.  The only thing I may alter is to reduce the sugar slightly but it's quite possible that after freezing the sweetness may calm down a bit.

I've just put an order in for a lemon myrtle tree from our local nursery (and a curry leaf tree) as buying the kaffir lime and bay trees earlier this year have been a great success.

Thanks for the leaves (and powder), and a great little recipe.  :D

It's a great recipe and not something most people would have tried so that makes it extra special.

I'm thinking of trying the same thing with kaffir lime leaves now that my little bush has plenty of leaves.  I can't see why that wouldn't work.

I think it would work nicely Judy.  A couple of weeks ago I made the kaffir lime pannacotta recipe from Tenina's ebook, and thought that it tasted a bit like lemon myrtle.

That's where I got the idea from Karen, loved that pannacotta recipe.

It was so nice after dinner, just a scoop.  You are right Judy, I don't think many would have tried it either.  So different than the usual, we loved it.  :D

Have you tried this with the kafir lime leaves Judy? I have some I want to use up.

This is such a lovely icecream. Almost too good to share with the kids. Thanks again Karen, I am so thrilled I had the chance to make this. Have frozen some leaves for a second batch. Will also try with kaffir line leaves when my tree is up and running.

This sounds so good!  Don't have the myrtle leaves, but I do have kaffir lime trees.  Will try to make it over the weekend.  Thank you!! ;D
