This evening we had left over BBQ chicken and some veg in the pie maker. Really nice. & easy.
I chopped 1 onion then i made edc bechamel sauce, had already chopped chicken and had carrots, Peas & mushrooms, really yum and easy. Tonight as i was in a hurry i used all bought pastry. They were really good, we ended up with 12 pies!! The piemaker certainly helps your food go a lot further, so to the freezer they go.

OK I realise I'm reserrecting an old thread, Just wanted to ask (hope it is not too rude) where you got your pastry chef from dede?????? DH went to deliver something for work last week, got to the place and it didn't open for 1/2 hr, so he did what blokes seem to do when they are bored - went and found a bakery and brought himself something to eat  :o , he thought it was a sausage roll but then after he had sauce put on it the server person said "you do realise that is bacon and egg?" Well DH came home and told me this story - then proceeded to ask me to make him some, I have never heard of them (but don't make a habit of bakery shopping - rather do my own!!) and now I'm meant to make them. I tried google but no luck, was looking thru this thread and found dede's picture, thought maybe that is it...? Have you done egg & bacon in it????? I have MIL's pie maker at the mo, but he wants these egg and bacon...things. Does ANYONE know what he is talking about?????

egg and bacon pies, yes.

chop and cook up some bacon.
Put the pastry in the bottom of pie maker, add bacon, crack a egg on top.
S&P then pastry and cook.

Very simple and tasty.

You can also make mini quiches in the pie machine too.

loooovvvvvveee a good egg and bacon pie  :)

DH loves them for work in the winter (especially if he is running late and can then eat them in the car lol) pops them in the oven as soon as he gets up and lets them heat whilst he gets ready  ;)

I make bacon and egg pies all the time in my piemaker. I start off with a layer of grated cheese in the bottom followed by crispy fried broken up bacon and then break an egg on top. here is a picture. They are nice cold but even nicer warm and so easy.

Thanx ladies - yeah, I've done pies, just totally unsure how to make that mix into sausage roll looking things...??? ??? Because in my mind the mix would all seep out of a roll of pastry... but I thing I'll just do him some more pies and be done with it - or introduce him to the kitchen... ;)

I made over a dozen pies on Sunday for work lunches.

That's what our bakery does too. A few finely chopped bacon bits and cheese on top of the sausage roll.
