What' sit like CP?
The first slices were on a loaf that was a couple of days old (used for toast) and it was very good. The second loaf was used on a fresh loaf of mine and it was only ok. I don't know whether it was my cutting style or a part of the loaf that was at fault but it tended to tear in the same part of the loaf as I was slicing. Also it doesn't seem to cut right down to the bread board because the slice guard prevents the knife from doing so and you have to change the angle to do so. Having noticed that DS has brought the old bread knife out from retirement, all I can say is "great idea, but don't rush out and buy one".

It is a lovely word. DH usually cuts ours and then we freeze it. I usually find there is crooked bread if two different people cut it. Maybe it is because I am left handed and DH is right handed.

No Judy, we seem to creat havoc on the bread. It really messes it up. That's why we find it best for only one of us to do it. He uses an electric knife.

I always feel bad, but it doesn't leave me feeling too guilty when I leave DH to slice the bread because he has a stronger wrist / arm than I do!  I am getting our bread knife sharpened next week so maybe I will be able to use it again because it is so blunt at the moment.

Jen your painting looks almost real as if you could reach out and touch it.

I am the crookedest bread cutter here and DH has to fix up my mess. I have a bread slicer but am scared for my fingers.

Gert can't wait to hear your review of the Apple watch, I keep looking at them but not convinced just yet.

This  isn't really shopping, but almost. In Woolworths this week if you bought 3 x 1 kg of sugar you received a free book. Be careful though, they tried to charge me $25 for the book at first.

Don't we love free books cookie, the sugar won't go off so a good deal there.

It would take me more than 3 years to use 3 kilos of sugar cookie!

It will take me several months Gert. I do a lot of baking but always reduce the sugar and that is only place we use sugar.
