WhAt a magnificent looking home Chookie.  I'm sure it will be nicer being closer to GK's.
In contrast Gert, it is smaller, however  I'm sure you will still get the warm fuzzies picking your own Veges and herbs. That would suit me fine.

Did  you  inherit the veggie patch or is it your own work?  The fence could hold a lot more pots, I love the idea of vertical gardens.

I love the vertical walls too. Some people are pretty crafty and make some nifty ones out of those packing crates.

Your new home is magnificent Chookie, I'm sure you and DH will be very happy there.   I love having our family nearby, the GK's are always popping in looking for something to eat  , or we go to their house for dinner on a weekend.

Thanks for the good wishes.  The GK and daughter are all excited. It will be nice to be near a big provincial town, but will miss my purpose built kitchen and pantry, and beautiful new veggie garden. I may have to turn the study in the new house into a pantry and one of  the bedrooms into a study.

My first lot for. Any years is ready this month Thermilover. I used a whole bottle of brandy this time instead of a little bit.

With the little baking that I do, I think I've got enough to last me for the rest of my life    I only have 2 friends who bake so I'll have to give them some more.  I have 1 lot made with brandy and another 2 lots made with vodka.

I'm a bit like you, Judy.  I made a batch a year or two (or three) ago and still have most of it.  I gave some away, but still I have a half bottle - mine is a vodka mix.  At the rate I am going I'll be in my grave and there will still be some left!  It's just so simple to make that you can get easily carried away making bottles and bottles of the stuff, then you are left wondering just what you are going to do with it all.

Do you think brandy or vodka is the best ladies?  I can't remember my vodka batch. I want to start another when I begin this one.
