Nice idea to use icecream scoop for portion ;)
My sister in law sometimes adds some ham and sausage into chicken mixture

It is good for portions for biscuits/cookies too - more even & less mess with rolling etc in the hands

I can't stand  sticky hands so I use icecream scoops for every thing i can. These reheat really well,  30 mins at 200c.

Reading your post about sticky hands Chookie reminded me that my dear Mum hated sticky things especially honey, treacle and golden syrup. If I have have anything icky to do I tend to wear those thin gloves.

Abolutely loved this, and so did the hubby. I didnt have any leaks, but mine seemed a little watery on the inside - not sure if this is from spreading the patties with wet hands or if its from the cheese?!? Either way these are still a winner in my book. Thank you for sharing this recipe.  ;D

We had this a couple of nights ago. I had forgotten how easy it is to make and how lovely it tastes.

Cookie for people like us who are open to new ideas and enjoy to try new recipes, old good ones are sometimes forgotten.
It's been so long since I made this for the last time!
Thank you for reminding  ;)

I made these for dinner last night and the Family loved them.  After I had cleaned up I also decided I might as well make the Chicken Kiev's so I now have them in the freezer for another night.

The front 6 are Chicken Kiev and the back 6 are Chicken Cordon Blue

I remember the hostess made these at the very first dinner party I was invited to. Unfortunately she was a very ordinary cook and to make matters worse, she hadn't ever made these before ie prior to the party. The poor thing was so flustered when the chicken turned out dry as anything ie cooked too long, the cheese had oozed out of everywhere and lord knows what happened to the ham- I think you could probably carbon date it , it was so tough. Needless to say she has never made them since and buys them from her butcher! I love the sound of this recipe, I'll give them a go with gluten free breadcrumbs- cant wait to try them.

I forgot to add that she had even use a women's weekly recipe to make them- proof that some people are capable of stuffing  up a women's weekly recipe!!
