Thanks for your good wishes everyone.
DH is very stiff this morning as you can imagine. I slept in the spare room so we could both try and get a decent nights sleep.
I doped him up to the eyeballs and kissed him goodnight. The cat was  in and out of both rooms trying to figure out which bed was best.
Fortunately Christmas is not at our place this year, going to DD's, however I still have quite a lot to prepare, which doesn't really bother me because  I like leftovers for the days after Christmas.

Busy girl Uni. Aren't you going to Bali for Christmas, I thought you were.

The cat was probably wondering what was going on Katj - Mum and Dad sleeping in separate rooms, they must have had a fight  :D :D

Katj, sorry to hear of your DH's fall, hope he heals quickly.  All the best  :)

Wonder, I hope your DD appreciates all your hard work in making the hamper for her.

Great cooking everyone!

Wonder you Re a good Mum. Katj I hope DH feels better in a day or two.

Today is my preparation for cooking day. I defrost things, make jellies, custards, boil eggs, cook potatoes and whatever needs doing so I can prepare salads etc tomorrow.
We bought a ham a while ago, a lovely one on the bone, but then we ate it so bought another on Friday last week. It's lovely too.
This morning we popped down to Spud Shed in Kelmscott and bought fruit and veggies we need for the next couple of days. They had some Rambutan at a good price so I stocked up. They are so lovely. I bought a tray of mangoes in Woolworths the other day for $16. I was pleased with that.

I started Tenina's icecream Plum Pudding yesterday so I need to finish that off today and do another icecream cake. I made the Rum and Raisin icecream too. We have plenty of icecream for the festive season.

Done my last shop and just put the Swedish Ice Cream cheesecake in the freezer. DH out of it on the couch, didn't even stir when I threw the ginger nuts in the Thermie to make crumbs.lol
Awful to say, but it's quite nice that I can just get on and do things with him asleep. I do love him dearly and wish I could take his pain away, but time is his only healer right now. :)

I do Judy. I am a great list writer. DH has promised to help me tomorrow and he has been great and cooked the evening meal a few nights this week.

Katj-wow sleeping through the gingernuts means you are well asleep. ;D Rest is good for him.

Kate,  so sorry to hear that your DH had a bike accident.  Sleep and rest the best option.
Dinner out of freezer, sausage rolls and ice cream and fruit salad.
Cut into the ham today,  it it is a beauty.
Had a Nanna nap,  most unusual.  Now to make the pineapple and Apricot jam.

Kate,  so sorry to hear that your DH had an accident, I hope he recovers quickly.

My cooking and preparation day is tomorrow.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
