Yes, Judy. First week of school holiday here 😃

Same here!  :D

Cooking today was just spuds for the freezer, wedges and chicken casserole for tonights dinner, hard boiled eggs, rolls and now have just peeled and cut 2kg carrots for dinners through the holidays. :)
Feel like I may have caught the girls'  chest infection so wanted to get as much as I could done before it gets too bad.  :(
:D

The tarts look amazing as always ES. What can I say BZB? Your cooking is so professional looking.

Astarra, do you blanch and freeze the carrots?

Lovely food ladies.

I was up early this morning so decided to make the Christmas pudding while the house was quiet.  So glad that it,s done now.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

We got back from holidays yesterday.  I took my thermie with me (of course)!
It made butter chicken, naan, chicken cacciatore risotto,  coleslaw,  broccoli salad and some little rolls.

I'll have to try to recreate the rolls, I made them on the last day using bits and pieces that were left over. Sounds gross but I got the most complimentary reviews! I really wanted to make a pull-apart but didn't have enough cheese. In the end,  I threw in 3x baybel cheeses, garlic granules, chicken stock powder, half a box of frozen spinach, milk. I can't believe I made bread without strictly following a recipe!  Chookies no fuss loaf was the inspiration.
We were at South West Rocks in NSW and the conditions for proving bread were amazing compared to chilly Canberra!
I have a Facebook page with all things cooking, you'll find it here: https://www.facebook.com/What-Amber-Ate-1097437023601587/

Great stuff everyone.
BZB I made Cornish puffs yesterday, looked just like yours with potato, Sweden, carrot, onion and beef skirt inside. 11 puffs and one plate pie. 7 x 2 meals in the freezer. Cheap meals too.

Also we have so much cake in the freezer!

Pasties look lovely, your boys are spoilt!
Well done Jam, very creative.
DJ, it must feel satisfying knowing you are well stocked in the freezer ready for whatever life throws your way.

Gosh, I'm so inspired to get cooking some different things and to fill up my freezer! My boys and DH are down the jetty fishing and I have the creamy tomato and salami fettuccine cooking for when they get back. Love these school hols !

Mich, CC, Kimmy and Denise, thank you xx

DJ, we should do a food swap if we have a chance to meet up. I'm drooling thinking of your puffs and pie 😄

Astarra, do you blanch and freeze the carrots?

no, Michele,  I just peel, slice and put into a snaplock back in the fridge. They seem to last for ages.  :)

What would we do without such good cooks to get us going! Beautiful food girls.
Cooking with GC. Have made Nay Nays scones, vanilla Ice cream with Caramel and Chocolate Chips, batter for the Waffles for Dinner and Claire has picked and arranged the flowers.
I am not posting any photos of the GC as I am not sure how they might be used by nasty people.
