Thank you all. It tasted lovely, not overly sweet. By leaving out the kilo of chocolate and the dozen or so eggs and cream I saved lots of cholesterol and I'm sure it tastes almost as good. Maddy's chocolate buttercream icing is lovely.
No candles Judy, I remembered but didn't say a word.
I'll feed some to the visitors this morning. :D

Making McMich's Satay Chicken dish using some lamb I picked up on special instead of chicken.  Smells delicious.

Mustard and Honey slathered chicken from freezer, traded a loaf of bread for 2 potatoes and some home grown cavolo Nero with neighbour. Win. Almost finished the cauliflower.

Leftovers tomorrow perhaps. Still plenty of things to eat without going shopping. It has been 10 days since I shopped for meals for us. I just wonder how long it takes me to finish off the freezer. Did shop for lunch next Monday so may enjoy some leftovers from that .

Well the last potato I got from my DD for a can of water chestnuts. I really have only one or two neighbours who are nice. One is a clever gal who can actually grow some stuff though not potatoes! Then another friend gave me all the greens and eggplant she grows and a pumpkin from her daughter's property in the Tablelands not to mention the chillis. I have done rather well not shopping. I have a short list for Sunday shopping for Monday's meal. I am having fun.

Made hummus, beetroot parmesan and cashew dip, tikka paste and butter chicken.

Dinner will be a very relaxed steak sandwich LOL.

Another great meal, Gert. How many freezers do you have? You're like a magician pulling out bunnies from a hat 😄

Anzac biscuits - made by DS9, baked in the airfryer. Not pretty but yum! My fault that they went too brown as I wasn't sure when to pull them out. They seemed too soft and crumbly when I lifted with a spatula, after about 8 mins. So I kept going 😁

They look just right BZB. Some people like them crunchy, some chewy.

They usually harden up once set to cool on a wire rack BZB.

Today at DD's place I made bread, the Mexican beef slice and the Apple tea cake with a little bit of help from the kids for their dinner tonight.  I didn't stay but we did try the cake for afternoon tea  ;D
