I leave it sit for about 5 mins before scooping it to serve.. or I have been known to give it 10 secs on speed 5. :)

Depends on how you like it.  ;)

Don't you hate that Lexi.  Sorbet is great if you have a few people to share it with but in this house it would only be me eating it unless I had visitors so I end up with a huge solid block too.  There have been suggestions of putting leftovers into smaller containers which would be so much easier to do something with later.  Fiddly job getting it into ice-block trays with large quantities but if you've got the patience and enough trays to try this method, blitzing them would be so much easier.

I hacked into a lump of sorbet yesterday with a knife I had run under the hot water tap, diced it into chunks and refroze in a snap lock bag for reinvirorating at a later date :)

when we have left overs (which is rare lol) I freeze it in a flat container that I can tip it out of onto a cutting board, cut it into chunks (ice block size) and then "fluff" it back up in the TMX on speed 9-10 like making it originally  :)

Each time I make sorbet there is some left over,  being too mean to tip it out, I pour the remaining "slush" into Ice block trays and re freeze.   Next time we want a sorbet I put a piece of fresh fruit that is compatible  in the bowl first,  add the ice blocks and zap.

I did this last night - always into ice cube trays - we have some big ones that hold about 30 - 40? cubes - made of silicon ? that are easy to unmould.  When they are frozen put into bags (and LABEL !!) and back into freezer.

If you use glucose instead of all sugar as suggested in the ice cream discussion then it may help

I recommend buying a few of the larger trays - when you have the TMX you can put stock into trays and freeze so that you can add smaller amounts of stock and you know how easy it is to blitz the ice and make liquid.

They should almost sell ice cube trays with the TMX.  ;) ;)

Meant to add - we use yoghurt or milk or cream or fruit juice or grog as liquid to remix - 70% ice and 30% liquid.

I currently have pear sorbet, blueberry, persimmon and orange in blocks ready to go for a rerun.

Great size trays TMXer. May have to head down to the kitchen shop and see if they have some. I currently freeze excess sorbet in icypole moulds.

I want some of them too.  I am going to have to have a good clean out of my cupboards and throw away anything I am not using to make room for the things I really need. Not going to be easy but it has to be done, every cupboard bulging at the seam. DH has just done it out in his shed and I am going to have to bite the bullet and do it inside too. I love kitchen shops Cookie1 but have managed to stay out of them lately.
