Recipe Review- Broccoli Salad

Broccoli Salad
EDC page 40
Tweaking

I made this as per the recipe. Initially when I tasted it I didn't like it, but after standing (in the fridge) for a couple of hours I found that the flavours blended together.

I will be making this again.

I made this as per the recipe and it was delicious, but even nicer the next day. Next time I might add a little extra carrot and reduce the broccoli as the broccoli flavour was a bit overpowering.

Good to see you are 'mixing there in Canberra.  It may depend on the age of the broccoli too.  The old stuff is sometimes too strong even when cooked.

I made this the other and really liked it. Very crisp and refreshing. I left out the onion and used half a yellow cap that I needed to use up. But I didn't like it the next day at all so next time will only make enough for one serve. My apple wasn't too flash though so maybe with a fresher one it would be OK the next day?

Broccoli is a funny vegetable, if it's good it's great and if it's bad it's gross!

It's interesting that some of us like it the next day and others don't. Lucky we all have different tastes.

True cookie1 - which is why I don't publish lots of what I make  ;) ;) ;)  ;D

Bad enough with tongues and beetroot and chocolate !!

I love broccoli but MrsT rarely goes near it.  Great reason to have LOTS of recipes from LOTS of people.

I used light sour cream instead of yoghurt, and not as much broccoli (only because i didn't have enough), and left out the onion (I'm not a fan of raw onion) and it turned out beautifully....although doesn't everything that has sour cream in taste SO good?  Making the same version tomorrow for a BBQ!
