The advertisements on the pages
« on: May 11, 2015, 11:26:39 am »
Hi all...  Been away for a while.
Probably a silly question, but do you have any control over the adverts on the right hand side of the page?  I keep finding recipes I want to try but on certain pages there is the ad about the abuse of bears in the wild, with a picture, and even though I put my hand over it I find it upsetting..  Probably dumb, I'm sorry, but I can't cope with animal abuse..

Kind regards
curly

I've referred your posting to our MM curly.  Personally I am able to ignore the ads and concentrate on the postings.

I do try so hard to ignore them, that's why I cover them :) I was just checking...  Many thanks
I'm just particularly sensitive to these things..

Thanks for this alert. Will act a.s.a.p.

Sometimes we cannot control what banners appear.

Really sorry about the distress caused. I also dislike this content.

Will get back to you a.s.a.p

Thanks

Curly I am pleased that MM looks to be able to help you. I seem to have had the same ad for boots on my screen for ages. The coverage is very poor here so that may be the reason.

Hello

Since the ads are contextual and I do not see the ad in question, can you tell me what link is in the ad?

After that, and with that info, I can ask Google to not show it.

Thanks

Good morning..
I just went to the My Messages button on my page and the ad is in there as well.
I hope someone else sees it and is able to assist MM

You've now got me looking at the ads curly  ;D  I've clicked on every topic on the home page and no inappropriate ads came up.   Are you able to click on it next time you see it (or get someone else in the house to do it for you) so that you can get the URL link for Admin?

Would you believe just as I finished typing these ads came up. I couldn't get a link, I don't know if the photos will help or not.

If you don't want to see the ads... there is a little goodie called AdBlocker.

it is available for Windows and Mac.    I never see any ads at all using this.

I use a different ad blocker no ads on the forum but I'm now getting ads on tapatalk.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!
