Hello from Freo
« on: October 26, 2014, 01:40:27 am »
Hi There

I have been lurking around this forum for awhile and realised that I had failed to introduce myself properly.
In my late 40's, step mum and FIFO widow (for the moment) who is extremely new to the world of a thermal mixer though have been coveting one for a while (after I got over the  "of course I don't need one of those, I can make all of those things traditionally" stage, which actually lasted a few years).

Due to my circumstances, I am looking for making and developing little simple meals that are kind on the waistline and can probably do me for one or two meals at s time. I also love to bake a big luscious cake for the hell of it and of course when the extended family is over it is a "very large and full of life stories and food" event.

In a former life I was a Home Ec teacher so find myself looking at this new kitchen addition with complete horror...not an experience I have ever had before. I want this appliance to be my friend not an enemy.

I am loving the generosity of this forum, the old family recipes, the wise words and the conversations.

So thank you for letting me be a part of here.

Welcome Essie. I live down the Leach Highway from you.
I'm glad you have. Heckled out the forum. Thermal cooking is different but easy and fun to adapt to. Please ask if something is not working or giving you concern.

Welcome Essie. The best thing about the forum is that we give good advice  not just good recipes. Ask and you will get lots of helpful replies plus we don't bite...........very often. ;D
